PLEASE BE AWARE: Starting in 1969, every issue of Physique Pictorial features FULLY NUDE models. While no one is engaging in sexual conduct, every one is fully nude, some of the models are erect, and most are still wrestling :)

Volume 17 only has 2 issues; No.1 and No.2-4, which is the only time full color photos were printed, and the first time full nudes appeared. Starting with volume 18, they only published one issue a year.

Known as one of the very first American beefcake magazines, these original vintage issues of Physique Pictorial are beautiful and in near-perfect condition, directly from the Bob Mizer estate!

Published in Los Angeles by the  Athletic Model Guild, Physique Pictorial exemplified the use of bodybuilding as a cover up for homoeroticism, and of course, to evade obscenity charges back in the day.

Not only do the pages of Physique Pictorial primarily feature the photography of Bob Mizer, who also served as the magazine’s editor, but the magazine also debuted many iconic homoerotic artists, including Touko Laaksonen (Tom of Finland), George Quaintance, Dom Orejudos (Etienne), and Bill Schmeling (Torro, The Hun).
