An amazing collection of astrology matchbooks from featuring different zodiac signs on each booklet!

Strange fact about these matches...

They were made by Koscot Cosmetics, a very popular make up brand that ended up being a dangerous multi-level marketing company!

Founded by Glenn W. Turner in 1967, Koscot set a precedent for defining if a company is engaging in illegal pyramid scheming, and told people they could all be rich and successful just like him — if, that is, they made an investment in his company. Glen is also crediting with coining the term, “fake it until you make it”, encouraging his newly minted salespeople to "wear expensive clothes and wave around $100 bills to lure in others".

He was finally convicted in 1987 for running a Ponzi scheme, and told reporters as he was being led off to jain: “The good that I have done outweighs the bad. A technicality of the law is what got me.” By the time he died in 2020, it took more than a year for a newspaper reporter to stumble across his obituary and make note of his death.
